The Legacy of Sheila Wellstone
Sheila Wellstone was a national advocate, organizer, and champion in the effort to end domestic and sexual violence in the U.S. She was a fierce advocate for assault victims and their families, and played an instrumental role in the passage of major national legislation, including the Violence Against Women Act and federal funding for transitional housing and supervised visitation centers.
