We Lost A Friend Yesterday

Yesterday, January 4th, 2008, Major Andrew Olmsted was killed in Iraq. Here, at the Pretty Bird Woman House Blog we knew him as G'Kar, one of the wonderful bloggers who crossposted on our fundraiser. His post about us is here.

He wrote his own memorial and it is up on Obsidian Wings right here and is worth reading.

I did not know Major Olmsted; but I wish I had. He must have posted on Pretty Bird Woman House from Iraq. It takes a remarkably selfless person, to think of the needs of others while in such danger. His final post for the blog he did in the Rocky Mountain News further reveals his character.
